Giraffe-e and Ethan went in for surgery on Thursday afternoon. Giraffe-e got to stay with Ethan, however, this mom was ushered to the waiting room. They were both troopers. I think surgery is just as hard on moms as it is the patient. Ethan did great and now he is home recovering. He was welcomed home with a stellar, "Daddy Recovery Pack" of all his favorite things picked by daddy: video games, Legos, cookie ice cream sandwiches, Panera soup, and rented movies from Redbox.
Now, my little guy has to rest. No running, jumping, or lifting furniture to find a lost toy (yes, he did that). No baths or showers for him. . . sponge baths only. Some restrictions might be easier than others for a 6-year-old boy.
