How does this happen? How can a simple bookbag bring one to tears? I recently ordered a backpack for Ethan, one that would carry all of his artwork, library books, homework, and all the other evidence that he is officially a big boy.Ethan's school bag arrived on our doorstep this afternoon. I was very excited to tear it out of the package until I saw it. Instantly, tears filled my eyes. My baby boy will be in kindergarten in 19 short days. It seems that just yesterday was the rainy afternoon that we brought him home from the hospital, and now he is getting ready for school.
I am very excited for this next chapter in his life, but I just know how time will fly now that my baby boy is in school. As for now, we will enjoy today, and hope that erasers, crayons, and folders do not bring on a panic attack.
