Our family is loving the spring season. We have already played outdoors well past bedtime without even kn0wing it. We have already enjoyed our first dinner of the season on the back patio. The sunroom is in order. The trampoline is up and daffodils are blooming. It is a good day! It definitely makes my heart happy.
Tonight we were taking a walk. Ellie and I had to stop and visit with the cows while Paul, Ethan, and Erica continued on without us. Ellie loves the moo cows. She will stand in Ethan's window and yell to them all year long. My sweet little girl was NOT happy that they cows were not listening to her commands. My smile spread ear to ear as I eavesdropped on her conversation with the "moo cows". It went something like this:
Ellie: Moo cow, 'mere (come here complete with the hand motions)
Waiting. . .
Moo cow, 'mere. Right now.
Still waiting . . . the moo cow looked at her and did his business.
Yuck! Moo cow, 'mere. Right now. Moo cow, TIME OUT!
How dare the cows not listen to my baby?!? However, she wasn't too terribly upset. She did throw kisses and wave bye-bye to the cows. One also followed along as we walked back home. He even made a great noise when we were out of sight. Ethan took great delight in that.
