Ethan is beside himself. He was
finally selected as "Special Person of the Day" in his kindergarten class. The "special person" gets to bring home Mouse and his favorite book,
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. When I arrived home from work, Ethan made me "close my eyes and hold out my hands." He led me through the house so that he could surprise me with Mouse.
Mouse had a very busy evening at the Buening house. He first had a tour of our home, made cupcakes with Ethan and B'maw, helped prepare dinner, attended soccer practice, was disrobed at soccer practice by Erica, rode bicycles, made a special blanket for Ethan's new baby cousin, read books, and went ni-nights. Mouse sat out of bath time.

He is going to make a great daddy someday. Ethan hopped on Erica's bike so that he could take Mouse on a bike ride. He had to ensure that Mouse was buckled in before the bike ride. Never mind that Ethan is barefoot with no helmet and Mouse's seat belt is around his neck!

My special person was so proud to be the "Special Person of the Day."
He shared special secrets with Mouse all afternoon and into the evening.
What a cute idea! Looks like Mouse had quite the evening at the Buening household! Love pot head remark in the previous post - ha!
